A large tank would not need emptying as frequently as a smaller tank, therefore reducing the bills for removing the waste oil out of the tank. If the tank is needed but not used to a great extent then it would be more useful to have a smaller tank.

Tuffa manufactures bunded waste oil tanks using a premium UV-stabilised and corrosion resistant polymer. This makes our tank extremely strong and hardwearing with a minimum design life of 20 years and a 10 year warranty.

Our waste oil storage tanks come in sizes from 1,350 to 15,000 litres. Up to 2,500 litres, our tanks are fitted with a lockable flip lid, manual gauge, vent and tundish with strainer. Our bulk waste oil containers in capacities from 3,500 to 15,000 litres are fitted with a large lockable cabinet that safely houses tier one ancillary equipment including a % hydrostatic contents gauge, and battery bund and overfill alarm.

Waste oil should be storage safely within a dedicated storage solution such as a waste oil tank. The waste oil storage should be secure and only accessible to authorised personnel that are trained in handling hazardous materials.

The area surrounding the waste oil storage should be clear, free from contaminants and located away from any potential sources of flooding or fire hazards.

Undertaking regular inspections and maintenance of the storage container is essential to minimise environmental risks.
