Our de-icer tanks are rotomoulded, using high-grade, corrosion-resistant and UV-stabilised polyethylene, which creates an extremely durable tank with a minimum design life of 20 years and a 10 year warranty.

The de-icer tanks we offer are semi-bespoke, which will ensure the costs are very competitive and lead times are very reasonable; however the tank will always be designed to the specific application.

The system will typically consist of:

• Large lockable cabinet, which houses the ancillary equipment

• 3″ stainless steel fill point with isolation valve and female camlock

• 2″ flooded suction terminating with isolation valve and female camlock

Tuffa UK manufacture rotomoulded bunded tanks, from a high-grade, corrosion-resistant and UV-stabilised polyethylene which creates an extremely durable tank with a minimum design life of 20 years and a 10 year warranty. Due to a loyal customer-base and repeat orders, we are aware of tanks manufactured over 20 years ago that are still in the field and in good shape. A huge benefit of being able to transport the tanks, (empty of product), to new locations, thus the tanks are often used in several sites.

What are deicer tanks used for?

The busy timetables operated by airlines do not allow for grounded aircraft due to poor weather conditions, so efficient defrosting and deicing of aeroplanes and runways to keep to schedule is imperative. Large quantities of the de-icing agent need to be on hand at the airport to allow instantaneous action for when a drop in temperature occurs.
